The Regional Interdisciplinary Collaborative Working to Disrupt Human Trafficking (the “RIC”), is a collaboration of stakeholders from the National, Regional, State and Local levels working together to disrupt human
trafficking, support survivors of trafficking and raise awareness of human trafficking.
Human trafficking is a widespread crime and growing public health concern. This crime occurs when force, fraud, or coercion are used to compel a person into commercial sex acts or labor services against their will. The goal of the summit is to lead a multilateral cooperation and synergy among these states as we work to ensure the safety and freedom of trafficked persons.
